Presentation by Dr. Susanne Gaensheimer February 18th, 2014

Dr. Susanne Gaensheimer, February 18th, 2014 at Schlosskapelle Dresden

The Foundation of arts and music for Dresden in cooperation with the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden invited to a presentation by Dr. Susanne Gaensheimer on February 18th, 2014 at the Schlosskapelle of the Royal Palace in Dresden. The director of the "MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main" and curator of the German Pavillon at the Venice Biennale 2011 and 2013 gave a speech entitled "Ai Weiwei, Romuald Karmakar, Santu Mofokeng, Dayanita Singh - The German Pavillion at the Venice Biennale 2013".

We are grateful to Dr. Gaensheimer that she has shared with us insights and impressions of her work at the Venice Biennale. And we are delighted that many came for the presentation and in order to get into dialogue with Dr. Gaensheimer afterwards. Thus, the presentation enhanced the foundation's vision to foster the communication and create a lively network for contemporary arts in our city.

The presentation was the first project brought about by the Foundation of arts and music for Dresden, which was founded in 2012 as a non-partisan supporter of music, contemporary arts and cultural education in Dresden.
