Curtis on tour in Dresden

On February 7th, 2015, 7:30 pm an ensemble of the distinguished Curtis Institut of Music will be performing in the concert hall of the "Hochschule für Musik in Dresden". The foundation of arts and music for Dresden recommends this very special recital.

Program:

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: String quartet in D Major, KV 575
  • Leos Janácek: String Quartet Nr. 1 ("Kreutzer-Sonata")
  • Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet op. 59 Nr. 3 in C Major

Musiker:

  • Violine: Miho Saegusa und Zoe Martin-Doike
  • Viola: Ayane Kozasa
  • Violoncello: Karen Ouzounian

The Aizuri Quartet is a string quartet in residence at the Curtis Institute of Music. Its members have studied at Curtis and the Juilliard School; and have participated in the Marlboro and Caramoor festivals as well as the Ravinia Festival's Steans Music Institute, where they were quartet in residence in 2014. The quartet was a finalist in the 2014 Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition.
