Chamber concert in German Embassy London

On October 29th, 2014 the German Embassy in London in cooperation with the Foundation of Arts and Music for Dresden invited to a chamber concert with artists of the Festival Schloss Moritzburg e. V. in the German House in London. The musicians Mira Wang (violine), Lawrence Power (viola), Jan Vogler (cello) and Juho Pohjonen (piano) masterfully performed the "Zigeuner Trio" by Joseph Haydn and the Piano Trio Nr. 1 by Johannes Brahms.

Among the 80 guests were HRH The Duke of Kent KG and the German Ambassador in London, Dr. Peter Ammon, members of the German Trust and of the foudnation board and board of trustees of the Foundation of Arts and Music for Dresden as well as representatives from politics and the economy. His Excellency Dr. Peter Ammon and Martina de Maizière, executive director of the foundation, extended a warm welcome. Mrs. de Maizière emphasized that Dresden was a city of contemporary arts with international scope. She presented the foundation's objectives and encouraged that the Federal Republic of Germany and the United Kingdom, Dresden and London should interact even more on a cultural level.

Following the highly applauded concert, the Embassy invited to a reception where the guests engaged in lively talks and networking.
