Impuls Dresden with Hartwig Fischer

On 15th March 2016, the Foundation of art and music for Dresden invited to a lecture by Prof. Dr. Hartwig Fischer into the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics. The presentation took place in the context of the foundation's lecture series "Impuls Dresden".

At the end of his time as director general of the State Art Collections Dresden, Hartwig Fischer talked about "Museums of the future – experiences and provisional conclusions". Many guests listened when he reflected upon his vision of a transdisciplinary, self-reflective museum of the world for the world in Dresden. He summed up his work experiences and placed them in the wider frame of museums nationally and internationally. In spring 2016, he will become director of the British Museum in London.

After the lecture, Hartwig Fischer, Martina de Maizière, executive director of the Foundation of arts and music for Dresden, other members of the foundation, and guests gathered to get into a cultural dialogue.

The foundation expresses its deep gratitude to DRESDEN-concept e. V. and to the Max Planck Institute Dresden for their wonderful cooperation.

The foundation of arts & music for Dresden was founded as non-partisan supporter for music, contemporary art, and cultural education by the City of Dresden in 2012. Its lecture series "Impuls Dresden" seeks to promote dialogue and networking in favor of the contemporary arts in Dresden.
